Before COCHET / PAÏS‘s incredible work, this opulent French apartment was all set on just one floor, with a surface of 150m². The design project consisted of the elevation of the building, to create an additional floor, transforming this luxury residence into a 250m² duplex facing the port of Cannes. The construction, remodelling, and decoration were done over the course of 2 years.

The exquisite two-bedroom French apartment is fully decorated using furniture design by the world’s top luxury brands but uses neutral colours to bring a sense of soberness to the overall ambience. The ceilings are detailed and stand out with a set of ceilings lights and chandeliers, and all the furniture is geometric and placed strategically. All rooms are detailed with small pieces of art letting the furniture design stand out.

The design project has several pieces from top luxury brands such as a dining table by Fendi, a sofa design by Longhi and the chandelier featured in the dining room by Lasvi, but the pieces which truly stand out are from the Portuguese design brand, Boca do Lobo.

The Symphony Sideboard draws inspiration from church organ tubes, as well as the curves of a violin. Like all of Boca do Lobo’s designs, the Symphony is handmade by experienced craftsmen, each with different specialities, from metalwork to wood carving. It features a cluster of polished brass tubes envelope an exotic wood structure, creating a harmonious artful juxtaposition to the rhythm of the pipes. Through the brand’s vision, this luxury sideboard seeks to re-interpret classic elements through contemporary design and cutting-edge technology and has become an iconic piece within the Limited Edition Collection.

Lapiaz inspired this unique cent re table. The french word is the name given to the typical karst formations produced by surface dissolution of limestone or dolomite rocks. It can also be caused by freezing and thawing in cold climates. This is how Lapiaz Centre Table emerged. Imagine a stone frozen and freshly cracked to show the entire world a rich, golden interior.
