Design from Italy excites at Casa Decor 2023

Undoubtedly, the interior designer Beatriz Silveira, author of this superb project, was also inspired when she baptized the living room with fireplace of Espacio ITA –Italian Agency Trade, sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Madrid–

: “Sospiro!” expresses admiration and well-being, surprise and joy, the emotions and feelings that are produced when visiting an environment created with furniture, textiles and coverings, accessories and technology from more than twenty Italian brands.

This room has a halo of beauty and aesthetics with the prestigious seal of Italian design. “ To develop the project I have been inspired by the values ​​of quality, elegance and modernity together with functionality and style, since they are concepts that serve to define Italian design, a way of understanding the art of everyday life that has crossed borders and it has become an international benchmark”, explains Beatriz Silveira. And Kersti Urvois, President of Casa Decor, emphasizes it: “The world of Italian design is of the utmost importance at Casa Decor. The know-how, the style and the quality of life that its great brands contribute to creativity, as well as its aesthetic vision, where quality and good taste give us beauty and great wealth”.

The room created by Beatriz Silveira is designed to stay in: its decoration , colors , shapes and arrangement invite you to enjoy rest and feel at home, surrounded by the beauty of design. It is elegant, cozy and harmonious, ideal for conversations with family and friends, with dining and gathering areas in which to forge unforgettable memories. The work of the moldings and the finishing of the walls of Zócalos de Autor, which surrounds the scene, is exquisite. Home automation, by Vimar, which is used to optimize the efficiency of resources, and the Fybra air purity meter are those invisible tools that contribute to well-being, just like technical lighting inOlive Lighting. The ceiling spotlights are signed by Artemide.

The entire room evokes Italian aesthetics and art, with a combination of materials such as natural stone from northern Italy – the spectacular fireplace, made of Flor di Pesco Carnico marble from Margraf –, handcrafted wood and glass of Murano, which stars the impressive antique lamp on the ceiling.

The dining room chairs have been upholstered in a Mariaflora by Filippo Uecher fabric. On the large windows, elegant curtains by Dedar Milano. Next to them, a modern design sofa shows off a Rubelli fabric. 

The coffee tables are a design by Beatriz Silveira covered with natural parchment from ExtroVerso, as is the screen next to the fireplace. In front of him, the Fysallida vase, by designer Jean-Christophe Clair for Rometti. The armchair that flanks the fireplace has been upholstered with a Mantellassi fabric, a Tuscan company founded in 1926.

Leaning against the wall, the extra-long Marcel sofa, by Blasco, is a design with a solid pine and beech wood structure with a curved back, seats with fire-retardant foam upholstery and upholstery in an elegant linen and cotton fabric. All its materials have a sustainability certificate. It is complemented with various cushions by C&C Milano. The Turin artist Clara Graziolino , a specialist in ceramic sculptures and site-specific installations, is the author of the Silence-Dissolution painting that hangs on the wall.

Located between the windows and halfway between the sculptural and the functional, a spectacular cabinet-bar, true wooden architecture by Guiseppe Rivadossi, from Habito, attracts all eyes.

In the charming corner created next to the sofa we find the mythical Pipistrello lamp, by Martinelli Luce, which rests on a handcrafted wooden table from Medulum. The glass side tables are from Glas Italia. Next to it, a base made with a porcelain from SapienStone  finishes off the set.

In addition to what we see, another sense that delights in Espacio ITA is smell. Aromas of home, cozy and exquisite, that subtly attract and awaken comfort. Its packaging is as careful as its content. Who can resist Tiziana Terenzi ‘s candles or Dr. Vranjes Firenze ‘s home fresheners ? In this room, everything adds up.

Enhancements to the property include the addition of 21 new luxury suites, including the Villa Solaz Suite. The spacious, new Villa Solaz Suite defines roominess and with its 10,645 square feet and its 4 private bedrooms, offering an exquisite atmosphere for an elevated gathering experience. Inside, guests will have access to a private chef, private mixologist, and exclusive Artisan Butler service, all of which ensures their stay is tailor-made to the smallest detail. The resort will also debut two Wellness Suites, focusing on relaxation and whole-body therapy.   • Cascabel, the resort’s casual indoor/outdoor restaurant featuring traditional, contemporary and authentic Baja Market Style Breakfast.

Miami is the perfect place to host two of Cogul’s iconic projects, a young city in process of growing in architectural innovation, and a young architect whose studios in Coconut Grove and Barcelona fuse his arts by bringing the European sensibility to a diverse view of a tropical city.

Cogul mixes multiple views in design and architecture and has become a convincing voice in the field of architecture and international design worldwide. Evidence of his magnificent work are the Dior Café in Miami’s Design District, the Silverspot Cinema, and the Brickell Flatiron penthouse, together with outstanding projects such as the Casa U, nominated for the American Architecture Award, or Villa M house located in flavorful Miami Beach.

Cogul’s creativity does not stop and this year he presents two outstanding projects: La Casa B&B Italia (winner of several awards such as the Interior Design Magazine Award) and the second, in the process of creation, which is the Collector Lounge space, located in the famous Design Miami at Art Basel 2022.

Cogul works with materials, light and space. At La Casa B&B Italia he tells a story involving light, love, and creativity. In his own words he says: “La Casa is born from the desire to build a home for a lifetime, and from a water mark drafting the dark from the bright, where light travels where it moves, where it changes”. His team and himself are inspired by the constant sociopolitical evolution found in habitats which takes them to consider architecture as a continuous mutation.

His vocation and interest were born with his closeness to one of his grandparents who built furniture and with whom he had the opportunity to experiment with materials and construction processes. Cogul studied at Cataluña’s International University and had the opportunity to work alongside veteran Catalan architects, and his architecture shows that blend of Hispanic inheritance and the modern chic view of 21st-century Miami.

Cogul says: “I identify myself as a provocateur. If my design projects generate a reaction in people, it’s because I achieved my goal”. This is made evident at La Casa B&B’ and his idea that Chakras are the concentrated energy centers of the body. In this case, seven different Chakra colors bathe the inner garden throughout curve glass and its colored fins. His creation gives life to an intended secluded meditation garden, where the organic curved central courtyard has been designed to distress and become the energy center of the house overlooking to a manicured south meditation private garden. Cogul’s passion, vision, creativity, and experience are marking the new trend of a new canvas for Miami that involves fashion, love, inner self, and diversity.
