Comprising of all women, the Arabian Gazalles strives to offer women from all walks of life a platform to race and venture beyond their comfort zone. Tired of the existing motoring landscape, and the male-dominated community’s preconceived notion that women are “zero and inefficient”, the club aims to bring equal women equal representation and opportunity both on the road and when dealing with manufacturers and distributors in the workshop.

Embodying the grace and speed of the gazelle, Hanan Mazouzi Sobati believes in the capacity of every woman’s boldness, passion and strength. With a total of 120 members of 18 nationalities, the Arabian Gazalles’ only requirement is the ownership of any luxury sports car, such as a Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Bentley or Bugatti – which are priced 50% cheaper than in other major cities and parts of the world.

“Most members are business owners while others are high-profile executives and housewives with enormous wealth. Their husbands were all scared of me, because I was the one about to corrupt their women.” – Hanan Mazouzi Sobati

Thanks to their strong online media presence and collaborations, the Arabian Gazalles are no longer merely an intimate group of close friends, but a growing global community of empowered women, striving to make a difference, one race at a time.

FOUR SEASONS RESORT NEVIS CELEBRATES 29TH ANNIVERSARY WITH UNVEILING OF EXCLUSIVE NEW CROWNED MONKEY RUM

NEW CROWNED MONKEY RUM

Exclusive to crowned monkey RUM BAR, only one barrel of Crowned Monkey Rum was produced, yielding a total of 345 private label bottles. “Bottle 001,” which comes adorned with the original cask seal, is sure to become an instant collector’s item, giving the opportunity for rum lovers and long-time fans of Four Seasons Resort Nevis to purchase a piece of history.

“We wanted to create something special that spoke to the history of the property and its significance here in Nevis,” says Pasquo King, Director of Food and Beverage. “From its rich, caramel colour and light vanilla notes to the hints of aromatic floral scents that waft over the senses as it is poured into the glass, this is a rum that represents the legacy of the Resort while showcasing the history of the destination.”

Crowned Monkey Rum was produced by Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados and aged for 14 years in a single Jim Beam bourbon barrel. The rum spent its first eight years in the tropics before being transferred for five years to age in more temperate climates and finally returning to the region for its final year before its local hand filling, labelling and bottling in Nevis.

As an unfiltered rum, all of the wonderful oils developed over the years allow Crowned Monkey Rum to have a smooth and creamy mouth feel with notes of burnt caramel, hints of vanilla and light golden raisins, which gives it a delicate balance throughout with a sweet aftertaste on the finish of light toffee and even lighter honey and floral notes. The rum enjoys a wonderful prolonged finish that belies its 46% ABV, which also serves to elevate the balance between more flavour at more strength.

“It was important to get the right rum, something that was a smooth sipping rum,” said Mark Theron, Master Rum Blender. “The rum breathes life into the warm feel of the Caribbean and exemplifies craftsmanship making it the perfect addition to any rum collection.”

To symbolise Nevis, the Crowned Monkey Rum label was specifically designed to pay homage to the lush beauty of the Resort’s island home, as well as highlight the green vervet monkeys that are the unofficial ambassadors of the island and the namesake of the rum bar at Four Seasons. Aside from Bottle 001, guests can also purchase a bottle number that is significant to them for USD 288 or by the shot (45ml) for USD 22. The rum will also be available in the bar’s new signature cocktail, called The Peak. The drink stirs in vanilla sugar and cherry bitters to complement the rum before being smoked with cherry wood to enhance the flavour profiles.

ADMARES TO DELIVER 16 FLOATING HOTELS TO QATAR TO SERVE TOURISTS AND FANS FOR THE FIFA WORLD CUP 2022

Qetaifan Projects continues its series of local and international partnerships that would add to Qetaifan Island North and serve the tourism, hospitality, and entertainment sectors in Qatar. The Memorandum of Understanding includes the construction and operation of 16 floating hotels on the shores of Qetaifan Island North to provide accommodation for the masses within the fan villages during the 2022 World Cup. The hotels have a unique design; 72-meter-long and 16-meter-wide (236-feet-long and 52-feet-wide), each consisting of 101 guest rooms, a restaurant, and a lounge bar. All of the 16 four-story hotels will be identical, offering a total of 1616 floating hotel rooms.

The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Managing Director of Qetaifan Projects and Vice Chairman of Katara Hospitality, Mr. Hesham Sharaf, Chief Operating Officer, and Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Head of Business Development in Qetaifan Projects, in addition to Mr. Mikael Hedberg, CEO of ADMARES, and Mr. Samer Malaeb, Regional Director of the company.

H.E Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Managing Director of Qetaifan Projects and Vice Chairman of Katara Hospitality expressed his happiness in attracting investments to the country, saying, “We are pleased that there are investors who share our vision and see the development of Qetaifan Island North as a promising project that has a future as the first touristic destination in Qatar. This indicates the aspiration of investors in the returns due to the safe and secure climate achieved by the state to encourage and attract foreign investment and create new opportunities, which will reflect positively on the local market, encourage competition, and stimulate the state sectors in all fields, especially with the recent developments witnessed within these sectors.”

It is worth mentioning that ADMARES is the world leader in alternative real estate with pioneering construction methods that combine cutting-edge marine, offshore, land and modular construction techniques. ADMARES’ turnkey solutions guarantee greater returns for developers, shorter project timelines and minimal environmental impact.

The signing of the MOU comes through the devotion of Qetaifan Projects and ADMARES to deliver sustainable solutions with minimum ecological impact as the hotels will be built according to the strictest energy standards – for instance the hotels will rely on solar energy. To ensure the overall functionality and attractiveness of the hotels, the modern and urban buildings have been designed by the award-winning Finnish architect firm, Sigge Architects.

“This is the first time ever that pure floating real estate has been used as a temporary solution for accommodation needs at this scale. These hotels do not require major ports and deep water as their draft is significantly less than large cruise ships”, says Mr. Mikael Hedberg, CEO of ADMARES. He added “after the World Cup, the hotels can be placed at any coastal location where the water is at least 4 meters (13 feet) deep. We are excited to be part of the solution for the amount of accommodation needed for the FIFA World Cup 2022.”

Mr. Samer Malaeb, Regional Director of ADMARES, expressed his pleasure with this cooperation, saying “ADMARES floating hotels will position Qetaifan Island North as a preferred entertainment island in Qatar offering unique hospitality experience catering various market segment needs.”

In view of the proximity of Qetaifan Island North to Lusail International Stadium, which will host the opening and final games of the FIFA World Cup 2022, and the expected high numbers of tourists and fans that will visit Qatar before and during the World Cup, which will be held for the first time in the Middle East, the island will provide all the needs of the masses and tourists; with projects, facilities, and entertainment activities in addition to the fan villages during the tournament, which will include the floating hotels.

Qetaifan Island North, located off Lusail City, spans approximately 1.3 million square meters (4.7 million square feet) with 830,000 square meters (2.7 million square feet) of attractions, featuring seven beaches; making it the city’s main waterfront destination.
