Juan Hurtado, founder of Hurtan, began to shape his concerns in the 1980s with one goal: to build the car of his dreams, the one that did not yet exist. In this way, inspired by the classics of the 50s and 60s, Juan Hurtado begins working on what would be his first success, his first car. The success of this catapulted him to exhibitions and events, being the first rung of a ladder that would take him some years later to build his own factory, to found Casa Hurtan.
