“Todas las manos a la obra… pero finalmente ganó la Madre Naturaleza”, dijo el director ejecutivo y piloto del equipo SailGP de Estados Unidos, Jimmy Spithill, al hablar sobre el importante evento meteorológico que se produjo en la base técnica de SailGP después de la regata del sábado en el KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix | Sídney.

Debido al daño resultante a la flota de SailGP F50, las carreras se cancelaron para el domingo. Afortunadamente, no se han reportado heridos graves.

Más temprano en el día sábado, el equipo US SailGP se mostró en forma, sobresaliendo en las condiciones de viento racheado. Un par de segundos lugares, y el quinto lugar en la tercera carrera, colocaron al equipo en el segundo lugar general detrás del equipo France SailGP y por delante de los australianos.

De acuerdo con las reglas de SailGP, las tres carreras completadas son suficientes para constituir un evento. El segundo lugar del equipo aseguró puntos valiosos, pero no fue suficiente para cerrar la brecha de 11 puntos que queda entre ellos y el podio de la clasificación de la temporada.

La liga ha indicado que después de una evaluación preliminar, planea avanzar con los próximos dos eventos en la Temporada 3, el Gran Premio de Vela de ITM Nueva Zelanda | Christ Church del 18 al 19 de marzo y la Gran Final: el Gran Premio de Vela de Estados Unidos | San Francisco 6 y 7 de mayo de 2023.

ARTE: BANKSY artista grafitero muestra su arte, en la calle y en el cine

Banksy es el sobrenombre por el que se conoce a un artista grafitero.  Él es además un activista político y director de cine. Su identidad estuvo muchos años en el anonimato absoluto hasta hace una semana.

Su satírico arte callejero y subversivas epigramas combinan el humor negro con el graffiti ejecutados en una distintiva técnica por el cual talla las siluetas en cartón y las rellena utilizando spray.

Obras sobre comentarios políticos y sociales de Banksy están en muchas calles, muros y puentes de ciudades alrededor de todo el mundo. [1] El trabajo de Banksy surgió de la escena underground de Bristol , que implicó la colaboración entre artistas y músicos. [2]

El rumor sobre la revelación del artista grafitero hasta ahora anónimo es por la entrevista que le hacen al DJ Británico Goldie, que en su conversación deja entreveer que Robert del Naja, cantante del grupo musical Inglés  Massive Attack [3]  estaría detrás del irreverente artista Banksy. El gobierno Inglés ha eliminado a este artista grafitero varias de sus obras además de en Australia y otros países Europeos. [4]

La primera película de Banksy, Exit Through the Gift Shop, considerado como la “primera expresión de arte callejero en el género de película de desastres “, hizo su debut en el 2010 Festival de Cine de Sundance . [5] La película fue lanzada en el Reino Unido el 5 de marzo de 2010. [6] En enero de 2011, La película dirigida por él fué nominada para el Oscar al Mejor Documental por su película Exit Through the Gift Shop [7] y en 2014, Banksy fué galardonado como Persona del Año en los 2014 premios Webby .
