Looks Magical.
Works Beautifully.

OMEGA celebrates its legendary history and the magical qualities of its precise and delicate watch mechanisms, with a stunning new campaign, that turns watch calibres into dream-like worlds.

The inner workings of Co-Axial movements provide the perfect stage settings for a dynamic and playful celebration of the Swiss brand’s extraordinary achievements.

OMEGA latest campaign tells the story of its technical prowess and pioneering spirit with scaled down figures and iconic objects, set against the backdrop of enchanting, futuristic “watch-scapes”.

The centrepiece of the campaign is a visually compelling movie, created by the same studio that produced the 3D Co-Axial video, now showing at the OMEGA Museum. It is from here that OMEGA has drawn its eye-catching pictures and designs for print media and window displays.

Themes explored include moon landings, deep-sea adventures, sports timekeeping and of course precision watchmaking. Even Snoopy makes an appearance, as the famous cartoon beagle has links to OMEGA’s role in the safe return of Apollo 13.

With its magical/sci-fi aesthetic, OMEGA’s new campaign is sure to catch the eyes of watch fans around the world. The settings are otherworldly and the models charming, witty – and collectable.

Making a return appearance in the campaign is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Escapement, launched in 1999.  Its smaller contact surfaces mean less friction, less lubrication and greater reliability. It also works its magic as a sculptural feature in a cinematic landscape.

Vertical collaboration, startup innovation, and much more at MWC22

Again this year, the Ministerial Programme at MWC was the centre of global digital policy debate. With more than 160 delegations from countries and international institutions around the world, policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and the international development community exchanged experiences and views on how to build policies for a digital world, maximise the potential of 5G, close the digital gap, and meet global climate targets. As the world becomes increasingly digital, there was broad agreement that we need more collaboration and cooperation amongst all stakeholders to expand digital inclusion for all. This year, leaders like Jessica Rosenworcel, Chairwoman of the U.S. FCC, and Minister Paula Ingabire of Rwanda not only contributed to the conversation in the Ministerial Programme, but brought their policy priorities to the MWC keynote stage.

All-new for this year’s edition, Industry City, co-delivered with Knowledge Partner Accenture showcased demos from the FinTech, Manufacturing, and Automotive sectors. With a buzz of activity, Industry City was a must-see space at the event. Visitors had the opportunity to experience a range of Summits covering robotics and smart mobility topics through interactive metaverse tours and demonstrations from partners and the GSMA Foundry programme.

Focus on the local entrepreneurial startup community returned with the 4YFN (Four Years from Now) programme – supported by platinum sponsor BStartup Banco Sabadell – as it welcomed over 500 international startups and over 300 speakers to share insights on how to drive the ecosystem forward. Competing for more than €24 billion of investment, 200 startups pitched to leading funds, VCs, and CVCs during the event.

Your collaboration and support contributed significantly to the buzz and excitement of being together at this time.

Local initiatives like, Meet and Eat and Beat Barcelona showcased the best of the city. A preliminary economic analysis indicated that MWC will have contributed more than €240 million to Barcelona’s economy and created more than 6,700 part-time jobs in 2022. And once again, MWC was a carbon-neutral event.

Looking to the future

Following a successful MWC22 Barcelona, the GSMA is working hard to deliver the full MWC series in 2022. The next event, MWC Shanghai, will take place from 29th June – 1st July, followed by the inaugural MWC Las Vegas from 28th-30th September and rounded off by MWC Africa from 25-27th October – which will return in person to Kigali for the first time since 2019.

As the mobile industry gathered this week at MWC22, our thoughts have been with those suffering hardship and loss. Businesses, governments, and individuals alike are wrestling with meaningful ways to help, even as the conflict continues to escalate. Many of our members are responding by facilitating communication with loved ones and by addressing humanitarian needs.

Cartier celebrates the beauty of love with LOVE IS ALL

Filmed between Paris, Los Angeles and Shanghai, LOVE IS ALL is a testament to family in all its forms. It brings together a number of Friends of the Maison for the first time with an extraordinary cast that includes Ella Balinska, Mariacarla Boscono, Monica Bellucci, Khatia Buniatishvili, Lily Collins, Golshifteh Farahani, Mélanie Laurent, Troye Sivan, Willow Smith, Annabelle Wallis, Jackson Wang and Maisie Williams.

These 12 singular personalities build on each other’s creativity and energy through this joyous hymn, showing how important cultural and artistic diversity is to the vitality of a Maison such as Cartier.

Directed by young British director and fashion photographer Charlotte Wales, known for her fresh, considerate and light-hearted approach, this film reflects what is important to Cartier: the belief that each person’s singularity is enriched by others’, and that these connections reinforce our talents. It is an unreserved statement of appreciation for the arts and for culture from a Maison that knows we must think outside the box, push boundaries and overcome barriers, and anything else that holds back our lives or our desire to free our hearts.

LOVE IS ALL is also a significant song choice, a pop melody composed in the 70s by Roger Glover and Ronnie James Dio. “Everybody’s got to live together”: Cartier’s film shares the universal message behind these warm and joyful lyrics as we celebrate the holiday season, the most important time for coming together and celebrating family.

Here, they can appreciate the spectacle of some of the finest automobiles and motorcycles, in both production and prototype form, ever created. This year, visitors could also enjoy Bugatti’s stunning Centodieci, which the French luxury brand was presenting in the ‘Concept Cars & Prototypes’ category over the previous weekend from Saturday 2nd to Sunday 3rd October 2021.

Bugatti unveiled the Centodieci – which translates as 110 in Italian – during Monterey Car Week in California at the Quail in 2019 to celebrate the company’s 110th anniversary. Inspired by the legendary Bugatti EB110 of 1991 and powered by the 8.0-liter W16 engine producing 1,600PS, just 10 Centodieci units will be hand-built at Bugatti’s Molsheim Atelier and be delivered to customers next year. All ten Centodieci models had already been accounted for by customers prior to the car’s unveiling.

A Concours d’Élégance for automobiles was first held at Villa d’Este back in 1929, and Bugatti has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the event. Recent highlights have included the Bugatti La Voiture Noire taking the premiere prize in the ‘Concept Cars & Prototypes’ category the last time the event was held in 2019. Models from Bugatti’s illustrious past, such as the 1937 Type 57S four-seater sports tourer, the 1934 Type 59 Grand Prix car and the 1938 Type 57SC Atlantic, have all been awarded significant accolades in recent years.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Bugatti EB110. The groundbreaking and first supercar of its time represents the mid-period of Bugatti’s history, when Bugatti Automobili S.p.A. was based in the famous ‘Blue Factory’ in Campogalliano in Italy under the stewardship of Romano Artioli. Introduced in 1991 to mark 110 years since the birth of Ettore Bugatti in 1881, the EB110 elevated the supercar genre to a new level. It featured a revolutionary engineering package that included a carbon fiber chassis and a 3.5-litre 12-cylinder engine with five valves per cylinder and quadruple turbochargers. The transmission was also incorporated within the engine block to create more space for cabin occupants. Exemplary grip, traction and safety were delivered by four-wheel-drive, another key D.N.A. strand that remains pivotal to today’s production Bugatti models.

The historic supercar model – a blue (originally silver painted in “Grigio Chiaro metallizzato”) EB110 SuperSport – presented at Villa d’Este in the class “The Next Generation: Hypercars of the 90s” was formerly owned by Romano Artioli. The Italian entrepreneur, who relaunched Bugatti as Bugatti Automobili S.p.A. in 1987, prior to the company’s closure in 1995, has fond memories of the development of this revolutionary supercar. “While we were at the premiere of the EB110 in Paris in 1991, the engineers back at Campogalliano were urging us to return swiftly to the Blue Factory, as they were eager to begin work on the EB110 Supersport version. Everyone was focused on reducing weight and boosting power, while keeping in mind that I was ferocious that the safety characteristics of the car be upheld.”

The final result was a quite remarkable weight reduction of nearly 150kg from the original configuration, and an increase in performance from 560PS to 612PS, with the engine developed entirely in-house at Campogalliano. Immediately after the EB110 SuperSport was presented to the world’s press at Salon de l’Automobile in Geneva, the team took the car to the Nardò circuit in the South of Italy, to carry out the homologation tests.

“After a warm-up lap we set the world record with a speed of 351 km/h and an acceleration of 3.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km,” recalls Artioli proudly. And it didn’t stop there. The car also set a speed record on snow and ice at 296km/h, while a Bugatti EB110 GT powered by natural gas achieved at top speed of 344.7 km/h.

“I left my heart in my Supersport. No other car gives the same sensation of power, control and safety in every road condition as the EB110 – and with such beautiful style. I could not be more proud for “her” to be at the Concours d’Elegance in Villa D’Este.

“The Centodieci Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este is one of the jewels in the crown of the automotive season,” explains Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. President Stephan Winkelmann. “After the event was lost to the pandemic in 2020, it is even more special for Bugatti to return to the wonderful location of Villa d’Este and present our Centodieci to customers and friends of the brand from all around the globe. And of course, the event is even more exciting with the presence of the personal Bugatti EB110 Supersport “America” owned once by Romano Artioli himself. This seminal supercar represents the second period of Bugatti’s history, and gave our designers and engineers the inspiration for the Centodieci.”

The Bugatti Centodieci was presented as a static display within the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este ‘Concept Cars & Prototypes’ area on Saturday 2nd October and again on Sunday 3rd October, the car also participated in the dynamic presentation parade.

THE LARGEST OFFICIAL BOND VEHICLE EXHIBIT IN THE UNITED STATES LOCATED IN THE MULLIN FAMILY GRAND SALON

OPEN September 25, 2021 THROUGH October 22, 2022

SPECIAL EVENT TICKETS

EXHIBITION ABSTRACT

Produced in collaboration with EON Productions and The Ian Fleming® Foundation, Bond in Motion is the first official exhibition in the United States to feature original vehicles from the James Bond film franchise. The exhibit celebrates the 60th anniversary of the 007 films, since Dr. No was released in 1962.

With the publication of his first spy novel, Casino Royale (1953), author and former naval intelligence officer Ian Fleming introduced the world to the enchanting exploits of James Bond, a British officer in the Secret Intelligence Service, also known as MI6. In all, Fleming would produce twelve novels and two short stories, laying the foundation for what would become a global literary and cinematic legacy.

Beginning in 1962, with the movie adaptation of Fleming’s sixth title, Dr. No, the exciting and dangerous world of James Bond was translated to screen, setting the tone for Bond films to come. Much like the novels on which they are based, Bond films combine the adventure of exotic locations and scheming villains with the action of death-defying stunts, and heart-pounding chases in nearly every type of vehicle imaginable. Often modified by quartermaster “Q,” these vehicles, much like Bond himself, conceal their true nature until their weapons and gadgetry become important plot devices.

The Bond in Motion exhibit offers visitors a rare up-close experience of the most iconic vehicles associated with the world’s most famous secret agent, 007.

August 5, 2021, San Cesario Sul Panaro – At the 2021 edition of the Monterey Car Week, Pagani Automobili celebrates 10 years of the Huayra with the world premiere of the key features of Huayra R and an exclusive exhibition of the different models that have marked the evolution of the model from 2011 to date. The first Huayra BC equipped with the brand new Pacchetto Tempesta and one of the 40 Huayra Roadster BCs will also make their debut on The Quail stage and at the Laguna Seca raceway.

After the 2020 edition of Monterey Car Week was cancelled due to the pandemic, the most awaited event in California, dedicated to the world of historic and modern cars, returns from August 5th to 15th: a tradition of unparalleled automotive excellence for over 70 years. On the green hills of the Quail Lodge & Golf Club, on the occasion of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, scheduled on Friday 13th August, Pagani Automobili will display a special selection of the models that have contributed to the brand’s global reputation, starting with the Huayra, the first Pagani car to be globally homologated, that since 2011 has paved the way to the North American market. These ultra-customized Hypercars, equipped with state-of-the-art technical and artisan solutions developed for the most recent projects, are the result of a long research and development process aimed at the continuous updating of Pagani cars. A service that the Pagani Atelier has always offered its customers over the years.

The new Pacchetto Tempesta is undisputed evidence of this know-how. Previewed at the Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, it was specially developed for the Huayra BC and takes advantage of the latest Pagani achievements. The new package allows the Huayra BC’s high-performance platform to be equipped with a range of upgrades and solutions aimed at further unleashing the car’s true racing attitude.

Starting with a new front splitter and dedicated air intake, the Pacchetto Tempesta maximizes aerodynamic efficiency with a new rear wing that features an integrated central fin, six-pipe exhaust system and new suspension, while enhancing comfort and looks with striking interior details and the all-new Soft Driving mode. Thanks to the enhanced optimized powertrain, the Huayra BC with the Pacchetto Tempesta unleashes its new potential with a power increase of over 8% to 827 hp and 1,100 Nm torque.

The key components of the Huayra R project are bound to be under the spotlight at the Monterey Car Week during the world premiere at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club: on display for car enthusiasts there will be the all-new Pagani V12-R naturally aspirated engine, the six-speed sequential gearbox created in collaboration with HWA, and the ultra-light Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 monocoque, specifically designed to provide the driving thrill of a true racing car, in line with the most stringent FIA requirements.

The racing set-up of the monocoque interior is testament to how even the most extreme, cutting-edge, models are fitted with unparalleled craftsmanship and unmistakably refined Pagani details.

On Saturday, August 14, the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Huayra model will continue at the iconic Laguna Seca raceway. A day of pure excitement. At the Monterey Rolex Motorsports event, all Huayra models will be on parade in front of thousands of fans and spectators at two different times of the day and, together with the main Huayra R components, they will be the feature attraction on “Pagani Island”, an area exclusively dedicated to Pagani cars.
Among the supporters of the event, Pirelli, one of Pagani Automobili’s historical partners, was happy to share their enthusiasm for the great achievements. In the words of Pietro Berardi, CEO of the North American Market: “Passion and the continuous desire to go beyond our limits are some of the values that Pagani and Pirelli have shared for over 10 years in one of the most fruitful partnerships in the automotive world. Over the last years with Pagani we have implemented several research and development projects, always focused not on only maximum performance but also new quality and safety standards: from the first record beaten in 2010 with a Pagani Zonda R on Pirelli P Zero at the Nürburgring, the iconic German racing track, to the use of Formula 1 modelling to develop the P Zero Trofeo R tyres for the new Pacchetto Tempesta for the Huayra BC. Last but not least, just a few months ago, on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps racing track, the record set by the Roadster BC equipped with specially developed P Zero Trofeo R tyres set a milestone in the history of “Motor Valley” super cars. With the new slick tyres, specially developed for the Huayra R, the outlook looks much brighter for the years to come!”

year in a modern and uninhibited atmosphere, which, just like Hublot, combined different
artistic disciplines such as music, dance and design.
Vincent Roy

BRAND DIRECTOR HUBLOT FRANCE, BELGIUM & LUXEMBOURG

This evening was also an opportunity to once again present Hublot watches with new features launched in 2019, such as the new Big Bang Sang Bleu, the Classic Fusion Ferrari GT, and the Classic Fusion Orlinski line.
Inaugurated in 2014, the Fondation Vuitton represents the fusion between the lightness of glass architecture and a story rooted in the French culture of the 19th century. As much as in the very design of the project as in the start of work, the Fondation project shook up the principles of architecture, like Hublot which is, par excellence, the watchmaking brand which shook up the deep-rooted traditions of Watchmaking by offering the first gold watch on a rubber strap, in other words a precious metal on a less noble material.

HUBLOT
Founded in Switzerland in 1980, HUBLOT is defined by its innovation, which began with the highly original combination of gold and rubber. This “Art of Fusion” stems from the imagination of its visionary Chairman, Jean-Claude Biver, and has been driven forward by CEO Ricardo Guadalupe since 2012.
The release of the iconic, multi-award-winning Big Bang in 2005 paved the way for new flagship collections (Classic Fusion, Spirit of Big Bang), with complications ranging from the simple to the highly sophisticated, establishing the extraordinary DNA of the Swiss watchmaking house and ensuring its impressive growth.
Keen to preserve its traditional and cutting-edge expertise, and guided by its philosophy to “Be First, Different and Unique”, the Swiss watchmaker is consistently ahead of the curve, through its innovations in materials (scratch-resistant Magic Gold, ceramics in vibrant colours, sapphire), and the creation of Manufacture movements (Unico, Meca-10, Tourbillon).
HUBLOT is fully committed to creating a Haute Horlogerie brand with a visionary future: a future which is fused with the key events of our times (FIFA World CupTM, UEFA Champions LeagueTM, UEFA EUROTM and Ferrari) and the finest ambassadors our era has to offer (Kylian Mbappé, Usain Bolt, Pelé).
Discover the HUBLOT universe at our network of boutiques located in key cities across the globe: Geneva, Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong, Dubai, Tokyo, Singapore, Zurich and at HUBLOT.com

THE FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
Inaugurated in 2014, this space designed and created by Frank Gehry dared to use the technological achievements of the 21st century, opening the way for pioneering innovation. The ambition of the architect, Frank Gehry, was to “design, in Paris, a magnificent vessel symbolising the cultural calling of France” through 11 exhibition galleries overlooking 7,000 m2.

OMEGA Celebrates The New James Bond Watch in New York
With Special Guests including Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli
OMEGA Celebrates
The New James Bond Watch in New York

As the trusted timepiece of the world’s favourite spy, the Swiss watchmaker OMEGA has hosted an event in New York to celebrate its newest James Bond watch. Guests were welcomed at The Top of the Standard, where the new Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition was revealed for the very first time. Actor Daniel Craig, as well as producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli made a special appearance for the occasion.

James Bond has been wearing an OMEGA since GoldenEye in 1995 – the choice of Lindy Hemming, the costume designer who worked on all the Bond films between GoldenEye and Casino Royale. As guests arrived at the event in New York, they were greeted by a full display of the unique Seamaster watches worn by the British spy over the past 25 years.

Raynald Aeschlimann, the President and CEO of OMEGA, welcomed everyone inside and introduced the new watchHe said, “James Bond shares many of the same qualities as OMEGA, from exquisite style to adventurous spirit and exacting precision. We can’t wait for everyone to see the new timepiece he’ll be wearing on screen.”

Speaking about his involvement in the design process, Daniel Craig said, “When working with OMEGA, we decided that a lightweight watch would be key for a military man like 007. I also suggested some vintage touches and colours to give the watch a unique edge. The final piece looks incredible.”

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said, “Bond’s military experience is a fundamental part of 007’s character, so it is fitting that OMEGA’s new design so cleverly reflects that aspect of his identity. Bond and OMEGA have been synonymous for almost a quarter of a century now, so as we prepare to launch the 25th Bond movie, the timing is perfect to launch the new Bond watch.”

The new Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition has been purposefully built with the needs of 007 in mind. Crafted from lightweight Grade 2 Titanium, it includes an innovative titanium mesh bracelet, as well as military-style engravings and a vintage appearance thanks to its “tropical” brown aluminium dial and bezel. This non-limited watch will be placed in OMEGA’s iconic current collection and available to customers worldwide from February.

Amongst the many guests in New York were a number of familiar faces including Paul Wesley, Antoni Porowski, and Sean O’Pry. As an added surprise, the spy-inspired night was concluded with a set from world-renowned DJ, Honey Dijon.
