Time to introduce you to one more yacht that will be attending the 2023 MYBA Charter Show and one that is new to the charter market, MARALA.
Originally built in 1931, at a time when yacht builders produced some inimitable classics, the 59m MARALA is one of the few surviving yachts from that era. Her Gatsby-esque glamour is quite unique and her history is intriguing. From active naval service during World War II to hosting distinguished guests such as Frank Sinatra and Salvador Dali, MARALA is a historical icon infused with character from each era of her life.
Following a five-year restoration programme, this elegant lady is now back on the water. The refit was a comprehensive one but, with the assistance of remarkably talented craftsmen and the Owner’s respect for her original design, MARALA has succeeded in retaining her spirit and charm.
Offering five double and on twin guest staterooms, guests will find themselves transported back in time to the wistful world of the 1930s, surrounded by soft art deco design and cradled in an ambience of nostalgia. Her twin stateroom includes the original sleigh bed which has been carefully restored and lenthened.
MARALA on the water is a breathtaking sight, with descriptive adjectives never adequate to truly do her justice. You really do have to see her for yourself!
