Vacheron Constantin, the luxury Swiss watchmaking ‘Into The Light’ A tribute to the beauty of hidden details

March 22nd, 2023 – Vacheron Constantin, the luxury Swiss watchmaking Maison with nearly 270 years of expertise and continuous history, is delighted to announce its Ramadan 2023 tale, ‘Into The Light’. An illuminated journey bringing together Middle East culture and the Maison’s commitment to watchmaking excellence and finest craftsmanship.

Light is an ancient timekeeper with its dawns and dusks that marks the passage of each day. It is of particular importance during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Vacheron Constantin recognizes the tradition of timekeeping, honoring it with ‘Into The Light’.

The Tale

Celebrating timeless traditions in honor of the Holy Month of Ramadan, ‘Into The Light’ is both modern and inspired from the past. The tale transports viewers on a unique and beautiful journey into a traditional lantern, the ‘fanoos’. The lantern opens its door to reveal a hidden Arabian city located in the desert lit by the glimmering moonlight. Its buildings are inspired by iconic Islamic architecture found in different parts of UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. Navigating through the city, viewers arrive in front of a door designed to resemble a watch caliber showcasing the incredible craftmanship and finishing of the timepiece. The caliber is seen shinning and the beautiful light that comes out of it starts to illuminate the entire city and bringing life under the night sky. Viewers are then transported back outside the city, all the way through the ‘fanoos’ door showing the lit lantern that projects a beautiful mashrabiya pattern on the walls, inspired from Islamic art, a beautiful symbol that reflects the spirituality and radiance of Ramadan.
As the light is being unlocked at the completion of the pattern, the viewer understands the strong correlation between Islamic architecture, artfulness of mashrabiya patterns, and elements of a Vacheron Constantin caliber. These three elements share a commonality that is their perfect geometry. Serving both functional and aesthetical purposes in a very harmonious way, the perfect geometrical patterns appear to be at the foundation of the heritage of the region and the Maison.

The Ultimate Ramadan Elegance with Vacheron Constantin’s timepieces

Égérie Creative Edition

The Égérie Creative Edition timepiece draws on the decorative craftsmanship that has been an integral part of the Manufacture since the early 19th century. It echoes the silhouettes of the 21st century. Its asymmetrical features including the off-centre moon-phase display and the case’s integrated crown set with a rose-cut diamond between 1 and 2 o’clock accentuate the delicacy of the “embroidered” dial swept over by three graceful hands specially designed for the watch.

Égérie moon phase

Haute Horlogerie instils the technical sophistication so dear to Vacheron Constantin and the legacy of the asymmetrical displays that have marked its history, while Haute Couture endows Égérie with style, magnificently refined shapes, attention to detail and delicate textures. Égérie moon phase jewellery is first and foremost an exceptional aesthetic appeal, a refined silhouette with an impeccable fit on the wrist. Available in three versions, A full diamond-set version: Égérie moon phase jewellery, A diamond-set dial and case version: Égérie moon phase diamond-paved and a new model with a flowing pink gold bracelet: Egérie moon phase.

Patrimony perpetual calendar ultra-thin

The Patrimony perpetual calendar ultra-thin watch beats to the rhythm of the legendary 1120 QP calibre, an ultra-thin selfwinding movement. With its sleek lines embodying quintessential elegance, this version treats connoisseurs to unrivalled contemporary refinement. The perpetual calendar complication requires miniaturisation prowess in that the movement must be mechanically adjusted to deal with calendar irregularities. This miniaturisation has been pushed to the limit in order to create an ultra-thin perpetual calendar, with Vacheron Constantin’s Calibre 1120 QP measuring a mere 4.05 mm thick.

Traditionnelle complete calendar

The classically inspired Traditionnelle complete calendar – with its stepped round case and lugs, fluted caseback and railway minute-track swept over by Dauphine-style hours and minutes hands – retains Vacheron Constantin’s signature touch of originality in the display of the calendar indications. The day and month windows are positioned around the rim of the dial, while the date is shown by a dedicated pointer. This layout particularly highlights a precision moon phase located at 6 o’clock. Powered by Calibre 2460 QCL/1, the Traditionnelle complete calendar watch features a 22K gold openworked oscillating weight with a design inspired by the Maison’s Maltese cross emblem, the movement visible from the back bears all the finishing touches one would expect from an Haute Horlogerie calibre.

CORINNE SUTER, THE SWISS SKIER, JOINS THE HUBLOT FAMILY

Corinne Suter, the Swiss skier, joins the family of Swiss luxury watchmaker, Hublot Corinne Suter: the 2021 World Downhill Champion is the Swiss star that everyone had been waiting for. She has managed to harness pressure by transforming her adrenaline into a driving force and turning her doubts into a strength that is greater than her. She has gained confidence in her abilities and knows that she can compete with the best; this has changed her perspective. She has found her equilibrium and became the world’s best speed specialist. Today, she is joining the Hublot family. A unique combination of the watchmaker and the Queen of the downhill skiing.

To stay up-to-date, follow: @Hublot #Hublot
And one day, all your efforts turn into success! The first podiums bring confidence and that confidence brings podiums. I really felt that I was surrendering, that I was also having much more fun on my skis, I put much less pressure on myself and my first medals allowed me to convert those hundredths of seconds which were against me into success. Knowing that I can keep up and compete with the best, I feel liberated. Even though I am aware that the slate is wiped clean with each race, and that I always have to push my limits, I am now competing for and no longer against myself. I don’t want to be faster than anyone else, I just want to improve for myself; I ski for myself and not against someone else. That mindset has changed everything. I transcend the race adrenalin and it transcends me. When I met Hublot, Ricardo and the teams, I again found that desire to surpass oneself, to make each watch, each new material, an opportunity to push new limits, because this is a brand that is competing for itself, not against itself or others. A family of athletes and media personalities united by the same
desire to surpass themselves, again and again.”

Corinne Suter
2021 World Downhill Champion and new Hublot friend of the brand HUBLOT:
Corinne Suter’s story is the story of a favourite who became a speed specialist, by converting promising talent into success. They say success breeds success; above all, it is shaped by experiences and what you make of them. On the ski runs, it all comes down to tenths and hundredths of seconds, times that the queen of speed will now measure with Hublot stopwatches alongside the other skiers of the family – Dario Cologna, Tanguy Nef, & Kjetil Jansrud.

Hublot believes it is very important for members of our family to be inspirational and role models, so that their life journeys can motivate others to give their best. Corinne Suter is on such a journey and we love her life story. She has strength of character, authenticity and is incredibly likeable. As queen of the greatest downhill skiing
discipline, she is now the best speed specialist in the world. I am certain that together we can produce the perfect performance.”  Ricardo Guadalupe  HUBLOT CEO

The tenths and hundredths of seconds that make history People often remember the decisive day that changed the life of an athlete; yet the athlete did not pull that performance out of a hat! Their achievement was a rich journey patterned with success and failure. Corinne Suter’s very promising early career was followed by a succession of injuries, and then she underwent a renaissance, affirming her talent in 2019. The two medals – silver in the Downhill and bronze in the Super-G – which she won in Åre, took the pressure off; both the pressure she put on herself and the pressure of the World Cup tour which saw her as the long-awaited star. In 2020, Corinne, originally from Schwyz, won two speed awards (Downhill and Super-G), confirming her rise to power. With her first small crystal trophy, she became the first Swiss female skier to win the competition since Chantal Bournissen in 1991. Then, there was that classic run, on 13 February 2021, on one of the most tour’s beautiful runs, the Olimpia delle Tofane in Cortina, where Corinne crossed the finishing line with nine tenths of a second advantage. She won her first world championship title, and gave Switzerland its first world title in downhill skiing since Maria Walliser in 1989. The long-awaited star confirmed her potential, and was crowned best speed specialist in 2021.
Her recipe for success With no fear of either gradient or speed, her routine at the top of the run is now simpler: after the recce, she takes one look at the run to conserve all her energy and focus for the race. While adrenaline helps the athlete give her best, she now knows that races convert into podium results by managing the pressure she puts on herself and then surrendering.

TAG HEUER INTRODUCES
A WELLNESS APP
FOR ITS LUXURY CONNECTED WATCH

The Swiss luxury watchmaker extends its TAG Heuer Connected digital universe with a new app for an active and healthy lifestyle.

La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland – March 9th 2021: TAG Heuer, the Swiss luxury watch brand that has pioneered the luxury connected watch segment for more than five years, has introduced a new Wellness app that enables users to track their daily activities simply and effectively. From the tiniest steps to the most strenuous workout, they are motivated to be their best selves, while enjoying an active and healthy lifestyle.

An exciting new addition to the TAG Heuer
Connected universe

The exclusive new TAG Heuer Connected watch Wellness feature enables users to stay fit, healthy and connected by tracking their biometrics during all their daily activities. With two daily goals and  one weekly summary, the app motivates them and helps them understand how each effort – no matter how small – benefits their bodies. The release of the Wellness app comes one year after the incredible success of the new TAG Heuer Connected watch and, with its focus on health and fitness, is set introduce the brand’s Connected universe to an even greater audience.

For TAG Heuer CEO Frédéric Arnault: “With the Wellness app, we are adding a new pillar to our Connected watch product offering. Within a timeframe of a year, the TAG Heuer Connected has established its status in elegance and sports. It has been embraced by golfers, cyclists, runners and a wide range of other sports buffs. In addition to elegance and performance, our users also expressed a strong interest for tracking their wellness. We value their input; we know how important it is to remain active these days. And we created the TAG Heuer Connected Wellness app for them.”

All the key metrics at a glance

With a quick glance at the TAG Heuer Connected, the wearer can monitor daily activity (number of steps), exercise intensity (time spent each week doing moderate to vigorous exercise), the level of effort perceived by the body (real-time and continuous heart rate monitoring), and the quantified impact of
the exercise (calories burned).

And now with the TAG Heuer Connected mobile application, there is also a brand-new Wellness tab that offers – along with these metrics – information about their evolution over time, which are reliable indicators of the user’s activity level. The Wellness tab’s focus is squarely on marking each user’s steady progress which, in turn, is a motivation to stay active and fit.

Simply set goals and achieve them

Leading health associations encourage the achievement of two daily goals. The first one is to move more, sit less and reach a daily steps target. As counting steps becomes a part of a daily routine,
personal goals can be raised when the time is right. The second is to reach a daily calory-burning target. The more intense the effort, the greater the reward! Again, each user decides on his or her own personal goals and adjusts them according to individual lifestyle and the progress made.

A weekly summary of goals achieved

With the TAG Heuer Wellness app, progress is accurately tracked on a barometer that displays the level of activity during the week. With its detailed overview of minutes spent in fat-burn, cardio and peak zones, users can see at a glance how each active minute benefited their bodies.

TAG Heuer’s Wellness app is designed to motivate its users to make steady, healthy progress by focusing on three easy-to-understand metrics: daily steps, daily calories burned, and active minutes per week. It has introduced these with simple, user-friendly navigation – all the information is conveniently located in one place.

TAG Heuer Connected performance meets refined elegance

The new Wellness app is beautifully presented in the brand’s TAG Heuer Connected digital interface – it’s hard to imagine a more stylish way of keeping fit. The TAG Heuer Connected smartwatches are distinguished by their striking design: with a choice of a titanium or a stainless-steel case and a selection of statement-making dial options, they can be configured to express each wearer’s individual style. The Connected is offered with a stainless-steel bracelet or a comfortable, sporty rubber strap ina rich variety of colours.

TAG Heuer Wellness:
Reinforcing the TAG Heuer Connected digital universe With its visionary TAG Heuer Connected watch, the brand has made a design and technological statement that further solidified its position as leader of the luxury connected watch category. It is a unique combination of the refinement and elegance of a chronograph-inspired watch crafted in the purest luxury watchmaking tradition, with a state-of-the-art, custom-designed digital experience geared towards performance. The TAG Heuer Connected offers wearers a striking and versatile wristwatch that enhances their individual lifestyles, from daily connected services offered from Wear OS by Google*, to immersive sports experiences thanks to the TAG Heuer Sport app. The latter provides detailed tracking for running, cycling, walking, and fitness. Golfers in particular will be drawn to new features that have been introduced recently to help players raise the level of their games with the updated TAG Heuer Golf app.

Historiador Flameante
